Im lost and in need of advice. I was looking to see what front pads were available for my 73 914 and there were too maybe to choose from. I was wondering if anybody has any insite on these pads. Do the pads need to come with shims or not? Also is ceramic pads a good choice or just go with semi-metallic? and which brand is perefered? All advice is welcomed and thank you for the help.

I put even put Poreterfield R4S 's on the front discs & rear drums of our `88 Westy van & improved it's braking performance by 15-25% I'd guess-timate. I'll do the 85 BMW 325e's pads when it's due for them.

Good Luck! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
