Anyone here remember the name of the kid with a silver factory /6 that had a 3.6L in it?
He used to post quite frequently several years ago. I think he was from So-Cal ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

Well if you offer to buy it back at the same price it's not illigal vin tampering, it's just a slightly confused 914-6. Because if your intentions are good, everything is rainbows and unicorns. No worries.

Would a rose by any other name smell less sweet? |

Why don't we name our children Cane? What is in a name? Would a rose by any other name smell less sweet? No, but BS has an easily identifiable aroma... You chose the name "SoCalStuttgart." In retrospect, it looks like you were planning this all along. I think I read somewhere in your Zombie thread that you were so proud of your work you felt that no one would know the car was damaged before you started. That sounds to me the same sort of thing one might hear from a painter that takes the time to mix pigments and fake period artworks. The wall of text you left tonight is simple justification and a feeble attempt to avoid responsibility for what you have done. You finally figured out that someone had caught on to your crap, and are trying to do damage control. Too late, way too late. I am sure that all the time you were sitting at the tables in Vegas you were heartbroken at the thought of gambling with all the money you just made from the car you "never planned to sell." Sorry man, but if it looks like (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) and smells like (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) , I don't have to taste it to know it's the real thing... You are a fraud. You ripped someone off, and profited. All of a sudden, people are talking about it, and you are scared as hell. You should be. If you really were an honorable person, you would have told the buyer what you had done before you sold the car. I imagine there would also have been a way to resurrect your Zombie /6 legally. If not, you should have let the car be destroyed. AFAIK, the only way to show any shred of honor in this situation is to just give it up. Don't know where you should turn yourself in, but you should face up to your fraud. You have been found out. People will continue to talk about it. Try to run, try to hide, your bad Carma will catch you. Plenty of popcorn will be eaten then, as we all wait and watch you try to tell the judge the same sort of lame excuse that didn't fly here. (edit) I just went back and re-read that wall of text again. You blame everyone else involved: your friend (or ex-girlfriend), who "made" you sell the car (and take half of the money); The person you sold the car to who didn't quite get that the car was a forgery, and sold it on as the real thing; the "non-car guys" who don't know the difference between a real 914-6 and a 914-4, und so weite. According to you, everyone but the person that actually built the car is responsible for this mess. It must be really hard for you as the victim of this horrendous character abuse, when everyone else thinks you are full of shit. I feel so sorry for you. (/edit) -- Whit |
