Anyone here remember the name of the kid with a silver factory /6 that had a 3.6L in it?
He used to post quite frequently several years ago. I think he was from So-Cal ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) beg to ask, why even bother with the #s? What do you estimate the premium was rather than just the value of a well done coversion? That you lay the story ALL out there, publicly, is both amazing and mystifying. Bold!

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif) beg to ask, why even bother with the #s? What do you estimate the premium was rather than just the value of a well done coversion? That you lay the story ALL out there, publicly, is both amazing and mystifying. Bold! Honestly I have always wanted a 914 that said 914 in the vin. The 914 vin makes more sense to me. The fact that Porsche used his name on the car but most cars had very simple nomenclatures. I like things that make sense and the VW vin is too much like a bar code or a product number. IMHO the 914 needed to be the best of everything. I wish I could make one even better but I doubt that's possible for me. A wise man told me that if I want a better Porsche I need to start with a better Porsche which is why I now own a 996 Turbo and a Caynne turbo. Both are fast and handle better than the zombie. They can both safely drive off road and over 160 mph which the zombie could not. She starts to float. The real jem was my 930! She was super comfortable and could go anywhere. I really couldn't get stuck in traffic though. If I wanted to hide my work I wouldn't show my work. I probably get an A- at best for the zombie. Selling her was even lower but hey, I do my best. If people who I believe to be fraud came to me with my offer I'd take it. If someone is selling the zombie for more than she's worth than call him out! Or if it's you! And she's ruined, please don't show me. You'll break my poor heart all over! Please don't show me a neglected version of my work. Just have the state police crush her and hopefully insurance will understand. My 930 was very comfortable but my zombie took me more places. People love the zombie! She was one of a kind in the most loveable ways. You can't put a price tag on that. Peace. I'm getting coffee and I have some driving to do ALL! Perhaps I'll think about this as I finish my cars. You can't please everyone but you can follow your bliss. By the way. If I wanted another 914 after her I could have bought a real 914 but, why didn't I? Why did I instead use that money to find my woman! I have retired 914's. Once you build your dream car, a balance of all the perfect parts of your past and you think about your future while driving....well, what does one have left to do except find love in the form of your BETTER half? No more looking through bullshit for peanuts. I've got a beautiful women in my bed waiting for me. Coffee is on and I don't like to start my days too late. The early bird gets the worm and all that jazz! Peace! Dean Clark SoCal Stuttgart, owner and founder, established 1988. |
