Hi all, greetings from the UK. I'm about to embark on the next step of my long (very long) return to the road of my '74 2:0 litre 914. She was a texan car which I bought about 17 years ago from the person who'd imported her to the UK. About 14 years ago I took her off the road to do the 5 stud conversion having swapped my original struts, callipers etc. with a chap gong the reverse way back to originality on his 914. At the time he mentioned that the Fuchs, brakes struts etc. were from a 911S. Unfortunately, mid way through the swap I identified serious rot in the hell hole and so with family, work etc. I've been doing bits and pieces over the years and finally had to face the fact I didn't have the time to finish her and so its taken me till now to get the funds together to get someone else to get her back on the road. So the engine is currently being rebuilt by Angus at Greathurst Classics / CamperCo. in Banbury and the rest of the car goes off this week to him to be sorted and reunited with the engine. Whilst getting all the bits that have been removed boxed up I thought I'd try to check if the Fuchs were genuine or not and cleaned up the rear of the "petal" to see the part number. The wheels are 6J x 15 and have the "fox" motif suggesting they are genuine Fuchs. The part number is hard to read but I think is 901 361 012 06. I'm guessing this means they are from an early 911, but wondered if some of the experts on here could advise if this is correct? I'm not looking to sell them, just want to see them on my 914! Many thanks.
