Does anyone have a good used OE interior 914 rear view mirror or know of a close look alike aftermarket mirror?

I have one of these in my 914-6, which came to me without a rear view mirror IIRC. This worked BMW mirror seemed like a better option than mounting the stock mirror.
My stock sun visors don't quite clear the mirror when deployed, whether the mirror is mounted in the -6 or the -4. I got a pair of old crusty visors from a fellow member that, eventually, I will reshape and get recovered. To each his own on the choice of mirror, but the factory-mount retaining screw in my '74 gave out and now I've got a nice metal block solidly mounted to the windshield, and no way to rehang the @#%!$ mirror. And I replaced that windshield not long after I got the car, so I'd rather not ruin it while trying to remove that block... |
