What is more probable, A leaky injector spilling gas on the engine tray OR a leaky "J" hose? T |

Uh, good chance it is the elbow. If the injector itself leaks it will leak internal to the engine and the engine will run really rich. If the elbow (J?) is cracked, fuel leaks outside the engine. I just had this problem. Moving the injector rail caused a stream of fuel to shoot out the side of the elbow. To get the elbow off the injector, you can cut the crimped band that holds the elbow onto the injector and replace the elbow with straight hose, about 2.5" long and use an injection hose clamp in place of the crimped band.
