I used to sell universal joints to THOMAS before he defected back to Germany which he used to made side shift trans rear conversion rods. I wonder who has done this and is there a noticeable improvement in shift feel?
I see the $200 shift couplers Pelican sells for 911's that are made with a similar principle. http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearc...n=shift+coupler http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearc...n=shift+coupler Anyone use one of the above couplers and have an opinion to offer? |

Mine was crap till I added front 2 way uni-joint,plan to add rear one also, talked to Chris but he won't sell the double bush console on its own so will fab my own one. I made my own bolt on double bush console as well, came out good, not a big deal but just for a boot solution I should have made the shaft about an inch longer at the U-joint. The bolt on console is great for the bolt on crowd, but the next one for my sons 914 I'm just going to TIG weld heavy ears on like Brant has done. |
