Hello Friends ,
I wanted to share my latest find. A few weeks ago I received a call from a guy named Daryl. He called to offer me a chance to buy his 914. Daryl had owned this car since 1984. He bought it when he was in college and had some work done to fix some very light accident damage in 1985. In the process he had the car repainted the original Sepia Brown it does have paint code 98. The car was never finished and has sat since 1985 .... It had not been moved from where it was sitting since 1989 when Daryl built his new house. Life got in the way for Daryl .....The car was not a priority . I just happened to be the lucky guy he called first. Well , after talking to Daryl about the car I could not wait to make the trip up to Saline Michigan. He said he was told it had a 2.0.... And by now I was very enthusiastic about seeing it. Turns out the car was everything I had hoped for. It is a nice solid car with the optional equipment group items. Including sway bars - 2.0 engine etc...needless to say - I bought it. I am currently making progress cleaning and detailing the car and getting it ready to try and start. I will keep you all posted.... Thats Daryl in the Photo... Once I have the car driving again I am going to take him to Cars and coffee up near his home.
