Received my Manual throttle assembly from 914 Rubber and it looks great! But no specific instruction regarding the “Shark Fin” and I have not seen a real one up close. I understand where and how the lever and rod go that's no problem.
Did some poking around here on the site (IMG:style_emoticons/default/type.gif) where I thought I might see pictures but I did not see the small “shark fin” and how and where exactly it goes on the gas pedal. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Does anybody have a good picture of the "Shark Fin" installed either real original 914-6 or 914 Rubber version? Of course I had just got all the pedal cables hooked up and adjusted when I received the assembly not understanding how the hand throttle actually worked. I’m thinking the whole pedal assembly has to come out. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) “Shark Fin” is on the far left. Thanks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/white914.jpg) |

Just for kicks, this is my set up. Genuine 914-6 set-up in the tunnel and on the pedal. I used a 911 arm for it, and there is a knob Porsche made that says "Throttle" for my type of lever too. I think Eric Shea's car has one....? It is good for cold starts, and it does work for "cruise control." Cruise control (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif) Nice! Thanks for the pic As an aside isn't the carpet suppose to be over the shifter base? I have an original tunnel carpet with a slit in the front the hand throttle lever comes out of. Just asking.
