US Coast Guard from 1994-2000
Avionics Technition second class/Flight Mechanic aboard HH-65 Dolphin helicopters (think Baywatch). Stationed at San Francisco International Airport. 4 near crashes, on lost engine in a hover, only one to cut the cable with a swimmer on it saving the whole crew. 1 1/2 years aboard the USCGC Munro, patrolled the pacific waters from Equador to the Bering sea in the search of drugs, environmental offenders, and persons in distress. One of the few coasties to go on a WesPac to the litter box in 1999. Saw much of the Middle East and Asia. Hanging out of a Helo saving people is a hard job to beat.
