...as the title implies, has anyone ever tried or seen or have pics of a 914 with fender mounted mirrors, similar to many older Datsuns? Part of me thinks it would be a good look, but can't quite wrap my brain around it without pics.Attached Image Attached Image

Craigers, Where did you find the cool 510 pictures. I am running a 70 510 in vintage racing. Haven’t seen those pictures before

I drove a bone stock 1600 510 for three years while living in Japan. Somewhat comparable to a stock 914. Have run my race prepped but stock motored 510 on the same track that I have run my 2.4 six. The six much faster, the 510 much more tossable (race tires).

Kinda similar from the perspective of same vintage driving feels. Nev er compared lap times as the six has easily twice the HP. Installing an 1800 race motor in the Datsun for this season, should be a better comparison.

Both about equal on the cool scale!
