Look like the right list of bits for a 914/6 build Options

Good morning, can we pretend for a minute that I was going to do a 914/6 build with a 1974 that is already missing its engine. Further, can we imagine that I would be trying to build a car that would be used rather than showed, and that building a clone and/or a "correct" car is not a goal. The goal would be a well balanced, reliable and sorted out car for backroad touring use.

Does this look like the necessary bits?

-2.7 or 3.0l engine with CIS (have this)
-engine tin
-oil tank
-front oil cooler
-to/from oil cooler lines
-throttle linkage
-fuel pump
-fuel lines
-engine lid latch relocation bits (due to CIS)
-headers
-flywheel
-ECU
-CDI box
-O2 sensor
-Engine mount
-320i front brakes since the extra horsepower probably deserves it

Good morning, it's been fun and very gratifying watching your build progress.

Back to my car, I have loads of work to do still, having the parts does not equal having them installed! Grin.

My work plan is to try to assemble everything and then spend a focused amount of time doing the welding, body bracing, and the limited metal repair work that is in front of me. Doing all that with an empty engine bay seems to make a lot of sense.

The biggest variable is if the 3.2 L engine I picked up for Ethan is as healthy as it appeared to be. If it is healthy things will go relatively quickly once the transmission is ready courtesy of the tech day with Dr. Evil, if not I'm going to jump out a window ( not sure how many stories up yet).
