Just had to buy a replacement for my ball joint lock pin ('74 car) due to failure while torquing it. Can someone verify 33 ft/lbs is correct. Seems really high for an 8mm fastener.

Interesting. They could be single use/torque to yield. I’d happily replace them if they weren’t so overpriced!
