My buddy with a '53 VW splitty likes to play with different low buck engine combos, he has a 40hp T1 VW engine in it right now and just bought a supercharger for $300 (canadian) with free shipping from china.
A Judson supercharger kit is about $2K. He needs to find a side draft carb and is wondering if he should mix some oil in the gas? A judson has a bottle that you fill with marvel mystery oil for oiling the SC. BTW he does have the original numbers 25hp engine, 0 to 100kph in a couple hours...downhill. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) He's copying this guys engine intake, but he'll have to make some changes to fit into a bug. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-DrLlRJ8QEE |

that is a really nifty item. it really opens up some ideas, my first thought is a simple blow thru system, put a filter on the one side and blow thru your carbs. You could probably do 5 pounds before you need to do some timing.
I haven't done a thing at work today, I'm daydreaming of a place to use this! |
