So I'm sure this will end up towards the top of my list of bad ideas.
I have a really clean 75' roller I bought as a 2 for 1 deal with 73' parts car. I've decided to reassemble enough of it to make it driveable to WCR it has a franken-motor in who knows what condition Trans is there and it shifts by hand easily The rest of the car is in boxes or in it's trunk/frunk I'm going to start on Saturday and document the shenanigans just for comedic purposes. Wish me luck! Pics on Saturday |

Reinstalled the oil filter housing and oil cooler, added some fresh oil and a filter and woohoo the motor cranks! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/piratenanner.gif)
Compression about 110psi, not too bad for a 1.8 that hasn't turned in decades. I gotta rebuild the Webers, at least they're Italian ones. Reinstalled the tin, ordered a bunch of tune up parts for it. Next up is the alternator and fan shroud. Reinstalled the front / rear trunk, and engine cover latches and springs to keep panels from flying up or off (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) Once the engine and trans are buttoned up it's on to the suspension! |
