As I work on my -6 clone I was wondering what most use for the wiper motor? I swear someone mentioned using a 944 motor??

Just buy a 911 wiper motor setup. Set the 911 wiper rack next to the 914. You will see that the tubes that pass the arms through the cowl are longer on a 911. So take the 911 wiper rack apart and shorten the tubes to the same length as the 914 rack. Then put the shafts and arms from the 914 rack into the 911 rack. Use the 911 motor. Or, just get a 964 wiper rack assembly. It will bolt right into the holes on the 914, and it sits much closer to the cowl on the underside. You will have to make a support for the motor though. |
