We need to get ALL 914 owners ready for next year for the 50th anniversary of the 914 in America.

So does that mean the Euro market is celebrating this year? To me, the anniversary is next year, but like I wrote, Porsche uses a production calendar, true?

Porsche started celebrating the 914 this year, not sure if they have plans to extend this to next year.

The MY concept (Model Year) is mostly used in the US, in Germany (An Europe in general) most people go by the start of the production.

Either way, i think for the American market, it's the right thing to do to celebrate in 2020 since the first 914s sold here were MY '70 ...
