Found this on the Porsche Classic Page and just wanted to let you guys know
Porsche Classic Tool Bag; suitable for all Porsche 914 models from 1970 to 1976. Content: 5x double open-ended spanners (1x each 8x9, 10x11, 12x13, 14x15 and 17x19), 1x wheel nut wrench, 1x holding tool for V-belt pulley, 1x combination pliers, 1x ring spanner, 1x Phillips screwdriver, 1x flat-head screwdriver, 1x V-belt for 914-6, 1x spark plug wrench, 1x spark plug ratchet wrench, 1x brush, 1x feeler gauge, 1x hub cap puller, 1x towing lug, 1x cleaning cloth. The year 2019 marks a special event in the history of the Porsche 914, because the mid-engine sports car was presented to the public exactly 50 years ago. To mark this anniversary, Porsche Classic is releasing a new tool bag for all model variants of the 914. The exterior of the new tool bag is finished in an orange-coloured tartan fabric. This look reflects the design of the 914 seat covers. The tool bag also has an embossed Porsche Crest on the front, as was previously used on the horn button of the six-cylinder version 914/6. Like all tool bags that Porsche Classic has now reissued, the tool bag for the 914 also has a high-quality tool set. Each part has its own allocated slot. Like others have said.....swing and a miss.
I agree that the orange tartan exterior has limited appeal. It is a good collection of tools but the directionless (or pointless) bling will have a very small audience. For my 914-6 conversion, I wanted a factory-ish tool kit, so picked up individual tools and put together my own. Not concours or correct, but much more factory looking than the current offering by Porsche Classic. And mine was not inexpensive to do as well. |
