Hi all,
Trying to establish a fair market value of this factory 914-6 911 RS steering wheel. Factory numbers are 914 347 806 10 dated 4/70. The leather has dry cracks otherwise very clean. I also have in excellent condition the horn button. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Attached image(s) ![]() ![]() ![]() |

I agree it’s the same wheel except for the part number but it’s n the Porsche world like many others, specific part numbers, date codes and vins do matter. |

OK so why is the OP wheel a 806 10 with the plastic 4 banger stuff on it ? Porsche did do some simple things in the 70s |

OK so why is the OP wheel a 806 10 with the plastic 4 banger stuff on it ? Porsche did do some simple things in the 70s Might be hard to imaging, but there was a point in time when owners didn't care about them stamped numbers and mix-matched parts on their cars. As stated several times in this thread, the /4 plastic parts do fit the 806 wheel. All it takes is a guy/gal with a screw driver to swap them over. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif) Probably a little easier to tighten three screws to a hub than switch a later wire harness into an early car. I'm betting that mod wasn't done at the factory either. Realy, what probably happened is the present or past owner wanted a leather wheel instead of a hard plastic one and swapped the plastic hub. If anyone reading this thread has an 806 10 wheel and is willing to sell for $300 or less, I'm a buyer. I'll take as many as you have. |
