I'm restoring the foglight from my 74 parts car, and I
some time cleaning the lenses. I noticed what I thought was paint over-spray and really scrubbed them and then used some tooth paste as a mild abrasive. No luck. My better half noticed was I was doing in her kitchen and actually offered some ideas as to how to get the paint off. She looked at the lenses and commented that the lenses seemed to be lightly frosted. She didn't think it was paint. Anyone know if the lenses were in fact frosted? If not, any ideas how to clean them? |

Mine are glass...
If they are frosted then they are sandblasted or highly pitted from road crap. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) My old set had a bunch of craters in the clear glass. Toothpaste grit shouldn't be harder than the glass so shouldn't abrade it. Ken |
