 Can't remember how many folks said this was "easily" restorable in the original post.... Even though a real six, doesn't seem to be garnering much interest. Restoration costs will exceed ultimate sales price at todays 914-6 valuations. Nearly every square cm scares the pee out of me, that's for sure. Everything is either crushed, burnt, rusted beyond belief, MIA, etc. At least there's a key in the ignition. Remove "000" from the price and you might have a sale.
Nineteen dollars, or $9.14, feels about right. Smart of them to put it on wheels to help market the car, but they could've done a few other things—even if badly—to have helped their cause. Porsche wheels, unbending the LR fender, unbending the windshield frame, etc. But…I'm really glad they didn't. This is a serious project, one that can only be a labor of love. |
