The numbers are secondary to the driving experience of course, but just curious if anyone’s ever benchmark to their conversion against a stopwatch?

Yeah, you’re comparing apples to oranges on a drag strip. Take a well balanced, big engined 914-6 out on a twisty road and you’ll come back with a big grin on your face you can’t wash off!
If you want 0-60, look at electric cars with maximum torque at 0 rpm. |

If you want 0-60, look at electric cars with maximum torque at 0 rpm. On both accounts you are absolutely correct. 914's were designed for handling, not for outright acceleration. We lose sight of that here in the states. Too many straight roads and drivers with no talent. I've looked at the data extensively. Most drivers will not / cannot exceed about 0.33G without severe sphinter puckering and thinking that they are nearing the vehicles lateral grip limit. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/av-943.gif) |
