I'm sure this will get the New Years Day blood pumping for everyone.
Same-same build, only difference is engine sourcing a 3.2L 911 engine vs 3.6L Outback, how does the market value these respectively? I'd expect a premium for the 3.2L engine but how much? Note - don't get your knickers all in a bunch, just seems like an interesting topic of discussion.... Happy New Year all! |

ALL IN I imagine $30k for the P drivetrain swap? It’s probably a good idea to budget $25-30 and celebrate if it’s less. My first 3.2 cost me $4,500, 2nd was $8k and now they are hard to find for under $12k. Smaller engines can cost less and not need all the extras like oil coolers and conversion clutches and flywheels. Add in $10k for a properly converted 915 trans. Add in $10k for a shop to do the conversion. These cars and conversations are like a vacation. It’s all about enjoying the trip and not trying to find or rationalize monetary value. |
