I'm changing out my flywheel and would like to know if it really is necessary to replace the mounting bolts. I know that some bolts are supposed to stretch when torqued down and are considered as one time use. But the flywheel mounting bolts don't seem to be that type, so can they safely be re-used? Should Locktite be used on them if new or re-used?

I guess I'd rather spend a few extra bucks to change them out and do it correctly than second guess the factory recommendations.

I installed new bolts when I changed the clutch on my Boxster. TBH I'm not sure if it's recommended for the 914, but if so then I would buy new bolts and install them correctly
