When I bought my teener last Feb, one of my coworkers, who thinks he's the cats meow, cuz he has a new Roush Mustang that is totally tricked out, said to me. "why would someone want a go-kart, powered by a Volkswagen motor", I chuckled.

My reply was " My 914 has 2 things yours doesn't have. A clean car fax -- his wife took it out and slammed into a phone pole, less than a month after they had it built. Guess, she is as bad a driver as a pilot, she also crashed their airplane!!! -- and Porsche DNA, it says "Porsche" on the title". I was stopped by my boss, we were in a team meeting, before I got the rest out. I was going to ask him, "I wonder where your car will be in 50 years, and how much will it be worth". I was told to "be nice"

There are always going to be jerks, who say it "can't be a Porsche, it has a volkswagen engine. well, duh, who do you think built the volkswagen", they are the ones who can't pronounce the second sylable , they say Porch. LOL

Thats my story and I'm sticking to it!
