There are lots of threads here - all very informative and I think I have this ready to go. The "extra" red wire goes to the new washer pump - i believe it's the + connection, correct?
My only other concern is the little "tab" that is always referenced to falling out...well...fell out of the original switch as it was being removed. But - I believe the new/repro switches have this tab (for grounding) already riveted in (as seen in pic 2) and i don't need to transplant the old tab to the new switches - correct? |

The earth tab is held in place by one of the mounting screws which with the others hold it all together ,you will need to keep that as it may earth other parts of the 2 switches.
Pretty sure the red wire is for the washer pump but been a while since I converted mine, others may know more, cheers. |
