There is a car posted on EBAY listed as a 914 Chalon that is actually a 914-6. I stopped down to Retro Automotive and Matt told me about a 914-6 that he had recovered out of the Mojave with a seized 3.2. It is for sale in Claremont, NH without motor or trans on EBay. I saw it and it appears to be straight, has a good hell hole, has 914-6 S/n in all of the usual spots, and with 4 proper fenders, could be brought back. Please save it!

I recently purchased a ‘71 914 2.0 with the idea of converting it to a 6. Rust free, strong engine, Webers, etc. After buying a 911 turboS and a mint 73 914 2.0, I’ve decided that a conversion just doesnt make sense. If you’re looking for a car you can drive and enjoy now and upgrade/restore at your leisure, this might be a fit. I’m in SC. Send me a pm if you’re interested. Thanks Phil C |
