After about 20 miles of break in on my rebuilt 2.0 I did a quick compression check. When I first tested [right after run in] all of the cyliders were at about 120-130. Now they range from a tad over 100 to 130. Most are closer to 120. Is this a indicator it's time to adjust the valves?
Also... I noticed in one post that you remove all of the spark plugs when checking compression. I have been doing them one at a time. |

Yep...I do think it's valve adjutment. It's running a tad rough at speed. Has plenty of power but gets choppy over say 3000 rpm. I also read that the type of cam I put in will change readings on tests due to the additional lift/durration.
Now that I am running points [short term] it's a pain getting everyting to mesh (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) |
