Ok I'm pulling my 914 4 cyl 1.7L engine to rebuild. I've got a machine shop that I trust but need to buy a piston cylinder kit, a cam and lifters, an oil pump and various small parts. Where is the best place to buy them that won't break the bank? I would like to buy the parts from a company that I can call. Thanks.

Here is the hot ticket in my opinion. OEM Domed 1.7 pistons and cylinders made by Mahle. Do not let the made in Brazil fool you. Top notch quality. These will make you 88 hp right out of the box. West Coast Core old VW source.
