Hi guys,
1974 2.0 When I accelerate from a stop I can feel a clunk in the clutch pedal and (I think) feel it in the shifter. It happens only when I engage the clutch and start accelerating. no clunk when shifting to second or third or 4th or 5th, just a clunk when I lift the clutch pedal a few centimeters and accelerate. Also nothing is felt while downshifting. No grinding of gears, shifting is smooth .. Any ideas ? Adjustment needed of the clutch cable ? What and how would you check/test ? Clutch, pressure plate, throwout bearing are all new. thks Dax |

When I had this problem it was the engine mounts.

When I had this problem it was the engine mounts. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The front engine mounts are seperated and allow the engine to lift and thump back down |
