Any one have a good time replacing the mirror on the outside mirror.

There is a difference between early (up to 71) and later side mirrors.
Early ones are about 5mm shorter (less wide). Should have different glass, too. I finally "found" a ´71 914 with the stock mirror to prove this. Also note that the 90° arm is not "round" but more "angular".
