I was told to throw away the seals for the push rods that come in the gasket set because they are junk. I ordered a set of Viton seals about 6 months ago from AA. They are black. I thought the Vitons were a brownish color, but then again, Jakes video shows them as green. Which way do I go?

Allan - did you order your seal kit from Pelican? I just finished rebuilding and installing my 1973 2.0 engine using that seal kit. Half of the PR seals were green and half - ??? I can't remember.

No, I got the kit from GPR but it was a Victor-Reinz kit so it will have the same parts in it. Has both green and black push rod tube seals. Just to make sure, I ordered a set of brown vitons from GPR today. $1.20 ea. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
