My current battery came with the car, which I got something like 8 years ago. So I now need a new one.

What's the max cranking amps that I can buy that won't fry the starter (if that's a thing?). My current battery barely turns the engine over.

Is there a specific code that I can search in order to source the correct one? I don't want to change the clamp or anything else.

It should have the same overall dimensions, yes. You might need to coil your ground cable given how much toward the corner the post is, but I think you'll have plenty of room for that too.
