Father's Signal Orange 914 2.0 with 88,000 original miles is now mine! A few details: No mechanical faults. Black interior, Non-appearance group but with center console and gauges, lowered with Koni shocks, "2 Litre" Fuchs wheels and new 195/65-15 Pirelli P6000 tires. Otherwise stock and very clean. No rust too! Porsche has been in dry storage in Palo Alto for 16 years. Last DMV registration was 1988 - so long ago that the VIN dropped off the DMV records! Now re-registered in my name. New home will be Sunnyvale. I'll post a few pics when the car is running again. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif)

On that same note, and since we dont know what your mechanical skills may be, if you are going to try to start it up for the first time..... let us know and search the site for info on what to look for first to avoid gas fires, massive oil leaks, no brakes....etc.... I'm sure that someone has a list of what to check, where to look and what not to do for that first startup after sooooooooo long sitting..
Good Luck! these cars are fun as hell, and once running are the worlds best decompression chamber after a long day at work!! |
