Father's Signal Orange 914 2.0 with 88,000 original miles is now mine! A few details: No mechanical faults. Black interior, Non-appearance group but with center console and gauges, lowered with Koni shocks, "2 Litre" Fuchs wheels and new 195/65-15 Pirelli P6000 tires. Otherwise stock and very clean. No rust too! Porsche has been in dry storage in Palo Alto for 16 years. Last DMV registration was 1988 - so long ago that the VIN dropped off the DMV records! Now re-registered in my name. New home will be Sunnyvale. I'll post a few pics when the car is running again. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/driving.gif)

Welcome to the board.... its all here. I'm in Campbell and have a similar "time warp" car - 74 2.0 fuchs, 8 track, etc.
With such an original car, there's the temptation to build a modified car. Do whatever you want but the original 73s and 74s are getting harder to find, and your car may ultimately be worth more (it means the most to keep it) if you keep it as original as you can. Congratuations on the car - have a great time with it!!! |
