Doing a complete paint job. Should I preserve the original sticker or replace? Where should I get the replacement?

I have tried in the past to remove them without much luck. Does anyone have a good method for removing it intact? I have carbone replacements that are very good but would like to save the original if possible.

I have carbone replacements that are very good but would like to save the original if possible. I can only say what NOT to do. I thought maybe a little heat could soften the adhesive enough to slip a razor blade underneath to lift it. I turned my heat gun to the lowest setting to start and as soon as I warmed the sticker, the sticker plastic melted and curled. Between the low melting point and perforations preventing the sticker to be peeled off, it is not an easy task. BTW, I was able to successfully remove and salvage all other decals on my car but this one defeated me. |
