Adam, you had a better result due to ton's of experience and inspecting in person while making the purchase. Meanwhile Glenn got a pig in a poke.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Its easier when you go and inspect the parts yourself. I've had good luck and bad luck with DC Auto. The last part i bought was a 911 front suspension bottom cover. It was rusted and banged up pretty bad. I threw it away and bought a new one for not much more money. Also beware of LA Dismantler. I bought a motor from them and as soon as I got it home I did a leak down test and 3 of the 6 cylinders were really bad. They said I was not a "real" shop, so too bad. By the time I could get into a real shop, the warranty was gone. I should of did a leak down before pulling the exhaust and other stuff off of it. I would also recommend getting the warranty in writing and make them do a leak down in front of you. |
