When I was restoring my '62 bug
I had considered installing a new harness but many advised me that the old harnesses were much more robust to just clean them up make good contacts and grounds etc. and that it would be fine. Is this true of the 914s Or are the new harnesses better? Thanks Drex |

On all my 914’s, the wires are hard and some have issues. I’m glad they still work but it’s hard to expect much from 50 year old wire that lived in sometimes extreme environments. I bet heat is the big issue, especially for the housing. Mice also do their share of damage. |
