Do I turn the idle adjuster clockwise or counter-clockwise to Increase the idle?

Do I turn the idle adjuster clockwise or counter-clockwise to Increase the idle? Clockwise, but remove the cross bar from one side when making the adjustment. I also used the ball thingy on the throats to make sure they were the same on both sides.
