What do y'all use for engine stands??? / bracket??? I like the one from VW alley but can't seem to find any source. Seen some nice ones for $600 bucks but that's not in the budget. The 2 eared ones don't seem they would provide enough support. Thanks for the help.

Get a $100.00 HF 1000 lbs engine stand (or the HD stand for $200) and a P201 Porsche engine fixture. I have this setup and no issues at all holding the weight of a 6 engine. Going on 3 six rebuilds with my setup. Again no issues and all for under $400. I purchased a once used P201 fixture on PP.

Luke - it will work, and obviously you did, but it’s so much nicer to work on a stand that’s really stable and solid. Having room under the stand for a 1k hf lift table is priceless. |

There's this style too. Seams sturdy. Maybe use bolts vs the pins on the folding section. Attached image(s) |
