Apparently 356 guys use the front turnsignal bucket from the 914 for rear turnsignals and brakes. They actually look really nice.
A fellow asked if I could design some LEDs for the application. The LEDs will be red and will serve as the running lights, brake lights, and turnsignals. The picture below is not his car. He originally wanted to do red running/brake LEDs under the red portion and amber LEDs under the amber portion. After some discussion, we decided to do all red LEDs for running/brake/turnsignals. So the entire lens will be red or clear. Since the boards are at a unique angle left to right, a one-sided board cannot be used on both sides. So this board will be reversible. The LEDs can be mounted on either side of the board as well as all the components. This was a very busy board with all the extra components on both sides. To be able to blink the turnsignals when the brakes are on, I'm using the same blanking circuit that I use on the 914 euro front turnsignals. Attached thumbnail(s) |

I might just do the same thing as the 64c comes alive. 914 tach? Is this a type 4 conversion? If so can I please have some pics? The lights I got from you are one of the best investments a 914 owner could make. Matt (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) |

Matt (IMG:style_emoticons/default/flag.gif) Unless you are running a type 4 motor, I'm not sure I would. If you are 12v you are golden, just get the cheap one from Sierra Madre or the like: 12v electric 356 tach I just used a stock 6v 356 electric tach when I went full flow oil filter on my car. I also have a 6v 904 tach in my parts bin, but I don't currently have an engine that redlines at 7k rpm (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |
