had come across a photo of this one before - always thought it was an airbrush design drawing/touched up photo for a design study.

not so? -- looks like it was real?

thanks mr. gulf.
i got an old excellence. first edition. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
just the one book.
old karl had not found that proto back in 77 for inclusion!
suppose i should buy his up to date expanded "library".

hows the six going? getting it out for blockies around the opera house?

found this german article doing my annual L jet research.
also stumbled on these from a blog on auto shows from the 70s.
karl's got them in his book and mr. b ( @JeffBowlsby ) has them on his website.
but not these photos.

the last one with the flip out 70s side stripes sure has got its arse planted down.
a VW test engineer must have done the suspension settings on that one. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)
