Oops, I didn't even think about the AC application to the drive, and I should have...
I run an Automotive AC specialist shop and am going to design a mount for a modern compressor. Mine will be on the passenger's side, under the tin (if possible). I haven't built this yet and, in another thread, I've already made the statement "Sanden top mount driven by the front pulley is the easiest, most robust mounting system I've seen..." So, HELL YES save that stuff for a possible top mount! I'll never suggest throwing that away again guys! My myopic ideas blinded me to the obvious, BAD NINJA! The air pump capable fan housing gives you better mounting points as well! Sorry! The California dudes gonna be pissed... |
