Read the whole thread if you are interested in new and improved....(400 grams lighter) 2.0L rods for your 914. Jake is talking about $280.00 a set, but it won't happen unless he gets enough buyers lined up. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) For that price you could afford to put a set on the shelf and keep them for the next rebuild. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) I'm buying at least 2 sets....who else wants to see this happen ? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/beerchug.gif) |

A 2270 don't need Nickies!
I have many of them running my cast iron bored German cylinders that run COOLER than a stock 2.0!! Don't be afraid until you get to a bore larger than 96mm.... Or until you can SUSTAIN an 18HP per cylinder load on the engine.. That means for a long period of time at wide open throttle- Like on the Autobahn... Nickies are nice- but definately not required for a 2270, less than 5% of the 2270 engines I have built have received Nickies! The 96mm bore is absloutely universal and I can do more with it than any other bore available.... When my plan here is all domne- there won't be any guesswork.. But you must learn to LISTEN and not QUESTION.... Want power, reliability and longevity?? Listen, open the wallet- Done deal. As for the rods, they will be 350 bucks a set after I meet my initial quota, if the prices stay the same..... I just need enough orders to get them and thats why I'm making them such a great deal. |
