I am offering for sale our 35 year family owned 914 street and DE track car. It runs and handles great. The Raby Aircooled Technology engine is equally happy on the road cruising along or blasting around the track. The suspension is set near factory height, provides neutral handling and is reasonably compliant. Body/Chassis: Steel flares - properly installed by PCA enthusiast Fiberglass front and rear bumpers Welded roll cage Weltmeister GT stiffening kit rust areas repaired over the years Doors - stock, fully operational All lights operational Engine: Turn key build by Raby’s Aircooled Technology, 2006 184 hp on dyno – 6500 rpm redline 2270 96mm bore X 78 stroke 78.4 forged, counterweigted and balanced by DPR machine H beam forged rods, 5.4" length JE forged pistons, OEM bored cylinders Pushrods - Manton Chromoly Valves - Manley stainless steel, 44 X 38 Flywheel, lightened, 11 lb. Full rotational mass balanced, cryogenic treatment Dual 45 Dellorto carbs Mallory Unilite ignition system Eurorace exhaust – jet hot coated inside and outside, straight pipe and quiet muffler Carbon fiber valve covers – no leaks Approximately 40 DE track hours and a few thousand street miles Transmission: Stock 901, budget refurbished by Dr. Evil 911 sport clutch and pressure plate Wevo mounts Shifts well with optimized stock linkage, needs a little finesse into 1st gear at times Oil system: Deep sump Full flow remote oil filter Stainless steel breather box 2 quart Accusump system with cockpit valve control Rear oil cooler with thermostatically controlled electric fan Front oil cooler with thermostat flow control Oil temps on track 210F Suspension: Front: 911 control arms and struts 21mm torsion bars Bilstein struts Rear: Boxed reinforced trailing arms 180lb progressive springs Bilstein shocks Brakes: 911 conversion “A” calipers front, “M” calipers rear, recent rebuild by PMB Performance, no parking brake Hawk HP Plus pads – good shape Cross drilled rotors – good shape Stainless brake lines Cockpit rear bias control regulator Master cylinder brace Recent rebuild on pedal cluster Wheels: Ronal 16X7 Front 16X8 Rear Toyo R888 R compound tires – some life remaining Interior: Sparco Race Seats – fair condition 5pt race harnesses custom door panels Autometer Tach 911 oil pressure and temp gage VDO cylinder head temp gages #1 and #3 Exhaust gas temp – all cylinders Overall: This car has been family owned for over 35 years. The original chassis build was performed by Autothority in Northern Virginia by Al Collins, Ray Plewacki (Autosportsytems Group) and Charley Murphy (Intersport). Most fabrication and maintenance has been performed by the owner who is a Mechanical Engineer with 25 years in the Automotive OEM manufacturing business. The car has been continually optimized and is fully sorted for track days and street driving.
