Greetings all, I recently purchased a 1974 914 with a stock 1.8 FI I found this forum in doing research on parts and tech advice. So I signed up and here I am..
I do belong to a few other sites that are helpful with other cars and I seem to be having issues when searching .. So it may be user error but I seem to be having trouble when search on here.. Currently trying to figure out why I have no brake lights, so I simply searched on here "No Brake Lights" or brake switches or brake lights.. I get thousands of threads and sometimes it will take me reading dozens of post's just to find anything related.. Maybe I'm searching wrong, I usually just go on the main page and hit search and type in a term.. Am I doing something wrong, any and all help is appreciated |

Besides wiring and a fuse, the brake lights are controlled by a switch under the pedal board in the cabin connected to the brake pedal. Maybe start there. |

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/welcome.png) Besides wiring and a fuse, the brake lights are controlled by a switch under the pedal board in the cabin connected to the brake pedal. Maybe start there. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Sometimes the little lever on the brake switch gets bent and the brake pedal doesn't actuate the switch. |
