Are the door pillar trim pieces that the rubber slips into solid aluminum or is it anodized aluminum? Can I fine sand these and polish out or will I sand through the anodizing?

All the aluminum on our cars is anodized. Bare polished aluminum is pretty but a chore to maintain. I would clean it up the best you can, install it and trade up when you find a prettier piece.
Other option is to send them out to get redone. It would be nice to find someone local who could anodize. Bruce Stone / Bdstone has a guy in CA who does very nice work. |
