Why is there a dent in the back of the air cleaner????? Only way it would fit so had to massage it. Spent a ton of time on this. I have the engine at stock 914-6 height but the air cleaner just was a PIA but I refused to go with k&n setups. I purchased a few housings but all from 911s and required modifications before the engine lid bracing would clear |

Tall manifolds ? Phenolic spacers ? Did you try a 911 plastic housing ? |

Phenolic spacers , standard manifolds off a 71 T, no never wanted plastic it just scared me when I was running fuel to the carbs but now that it’s fuel injected maybe. Yes for sure the proper height as you can see by sheet metal etc. |
