That is pretty cool! How do you handle the shut off on reverse rotation?

That is pretty cool! How do you handle the shut off on reverse rotation? The roller contact is Mill-Max 0945-0-15-20-09-14-11-0. Like OEM, the primary means of preventing reverse rotation contact is gravity and inertia. Between the 2 arms are magnets placed same polarity facing each other. This provides opposing force for roller contact and are offset to prevent any contact during reverse rotation. I wish I could publish some fancy calculation to determine the optimum magnet offset, but it was trial and error until I could get something that worked reliably. Not to hard with inexpensive rapid prototyping of a home 3D printer. I'm testing this on a '73 TB, so it's also nice to have the built-in backup return spring in the TPS. |
