After many months of searching (and buying parts) I now have a car for my project. I purchased this 75 on Saturday, it had been in storage since 1984, it was taken apart for painting and never completed. Some surface rust in a few places but it looks really clean and it's only 80 miles from my shop. I'm picking up a 2.7 tomorrow and also bought a 901 with a LSD that has low miles on it. Yes, color change, I wanted something different, a lighter color but not white or silver. I came across a Panamera in a grocery store parking lot, this version of “shiny gray” is called Crayon. In the direct sunlight it really caught my eye. I came across a few pictures of a 914 done in a similar color and it works for me. Now my next big decision is what to do with the bumpers. Chrome? Black? Fiberglass? 916 replica fiberglass?
Any thoughts? Thank you for all your help along the way |
